Seven finalists will be provided with mentorship and hands-on incubation support  before final investment funding is awarded in March.

At Skoll: EMERGE the judges selected seven ideas to be incubated by experts in the field before the final takes place in spring 2010.

 Green Cycle: developing a recycling system for bikes in Oxford
 - Momentum Catering: giving employment to disadvantaged communities through a catering company.
 - The Big Payback: investing in the education of students in developing countries.
 - Spurious Drug Detector: developing the technology to detect counterfeit drugs efficiently.
 - Future industries: commercializing a small recycling machine that turns waste plastic into useful products, such as frisbees.
 - Smile Café: developing an ethical high street café in South Africa to finance the charity Operation Smile.
 - Younity Loyalty Card: marketing a unique loyalty card that accumulates points to fundraise for charity.
